Committee Goals
- To approve an annual Budget for the Agencies under the jurisdiction of the Committee;
- To provide effective oversight over the Agencies under the jurisdiction of the Committee, and to hold the Agencies accountable to the residents of the District of Columbia;
- To ensure the quality of services provided to residents of the District of Columbia by the Agencies under the jurisdiction of the Committee;
- To hold hearings and markup legislation on issues of importance to residents of the District of Columbia who receive services provided by Agencies under the jurisdiction of the Committee.
