Council Chairman Kwame R. Brown announces the scheduling of a public roundtable by the Committee of the Whole on PR19-554: Public Charter School Board John H. McKoy Confirmation Resolution of 2012; PR19-555: Public Charter School Board Jerry L. Johnson Confirmation Resolution of 2012; PR19-556: and Public Charter School Board Darren W. Woodruff Confirmation Resolution of 2012.
The public roundtable for these measures is scheduled for Tuesday, June 12, 2012 at 1PM in the Council Chamber of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. The purpose of the public roundtable is to discuss and provide the public with an opportunity to comment on the confirmation resolution for the proposed nominees to the Public Charter School Board.
Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to testify at the public hearing are asked to register online or telephone the Committee of the Whole at (202) 724-8196, or via e-mail to Evan Cash, Committee Director, at ecash@dccouncil.us and furnish their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and organizational affiliation, if any, by the close of business Monday June 11, 2012. They should also bring 20 copies of their written testimony or submit one copy of their written testimony by Monday June 11, 2012. Persons presenting testimony may be limited to 3 minutes in order to permit each witness an opportunity to be heard.
If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted to the Committee of the Whole, Council of the District of Columbia, Suite 506 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.
