RSSPeople’s Counsel Sandra Mattavous-Frye Confirmation Resolution of 2012
Councilmember Yvette M. Alexander, Chairperson of the Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs, announces a public roundtable on PR19-657: People's Counsel Sandra Mattavous-Frye Confirmation Resolution of 2012. The public roundtable will be held at 3:00PM on Thursday, May 10, 2012 in Room 120 of the John A. Wilson Building.
The purpose of PR19-657 is to confirm the Mayoral appointment of Sandran Mattavous-Frye as the People's Counsel for the Office of the People's Counsel. The purpose of the roundtable is to receive testimony from government and public witnesses as to the fitness of the nominee for the position as People's Counsel for the Office of People's Counsel.
Those who wish to testify should register online or contact Ms. Rayna Smith, Legislative Counsel, at (202) 741-2111 or via email at rsmith@dccouncil.us, and provide their name, address, telephone number, organizational affiliation and title (if any) by close of business Wednesday, May 9, 2012. Persons wishing to testify are encouraged, but not required, to submit 15 copies of written testimony. If submitted by the close of business on Wednesday, May 9, the testimony will be distributed to Councilmembers before the hearing. Witnesses should limit their testimony to four minutes; less time will be allowed if there are a large number of witnesses.
If you are unable to testify at the hearing, written statements are encouraged and will be made a part of the official record. Copies of written statements should be submitted either to Ms. Rayna Smith, or to Ms. Nyasha Smith, Secretary to the Council, Room 5 of the Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W. Washington, D.C. 20004. The record will close at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.
