Councilmember Jack Evans, Chairman of the Committee on Finance and Revenue, announces a public roundtable to be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 9:30 a.m., in Room 120 of the John A. Wilson Building, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W., Washington, D.C. 20004.
PR 19-578, "Kingsbury Center, Inc. Refunding Revenue Bonds Project Approval Resolution of 2012" would authorize and provide for the issuance, sale, and delivery in an aggregate principal amount not to exceed $11 million of District of Columbia revenue bonds in one of more series, pursuant to a plan of finance, and to authorize and provide for the loan of the proceeds of such bonds to assist Kingsbury Center, Inc. in the financing, refinancing, or reimbursing of consts associated with an authorized project pursuant to section 490 of the District of Columbia Home Rule Act.
The Committee invites the public to testify at the public roundtable. Those who wish to testify should register online or contact Sarina Loy, Committee Assistant at (202) 724-8058 or sloy@dccouncil.us, and provide your name, organizational affiliation (if any), and title with the organization by 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2012. Witnesses should bring 15 copies of their written testimony to the hearing. The Committee allows individuals 3 minutes to provide oral testimony in order to permit each witness an opportunity to be heard. Additional written statements are encouraged and will be made part of the official record.
