On January 1, 2012, Mayor Vincent Gray assigned oversight responsibilities of the historic Lincoln Theatre to the District's Commission on Arts and Humanities on a temporary basis. The Commission is charged with developing a long-term, sustainable structure for the management and operations of the theatre. The purpose of the public oversight roundtable is to examine the progress to date of the Commission's efforts to create a sustainable management and operating structure for the threatre consistent with its artistic identity and history.
