The Committee will consider Bill 19-607, the "Neighborhood Contractor Daytime Parking Permit Amendment Act of 2011,” which would allow contractors to purchase parking permits for residential zones, and Bill 19-759, the "Reserved Parking Spaces Amendment Act of 2012," which would allow disabled residents who do not have drivers licenses to have reserved parking spaces in front of their homes.

Additionally, the Committee will convene a public oversight hearing to consider parking issues generally in the District of Columbia.  The Committee will examine the state of on-street parking in the District and how the District’s on-street spaces can be used more efficiently.  Specific topics to be considered will include policies and practices for residential parking, commercial parking, commuter parking, performance parking, and visitor parking.  The Committee will also consider parking meter operations and meter technology, and related topics.
