Biography
Vincent Orange knows the power of a good education first hand. Taking advantage of the opportunities provided by a strong public school education, he received an A Better Chance scholarship and attending a private high school in Colorado – Fountain Valley. He earned degrees in Business Administration and Communications from the University of the Pacific, a law degree from Howard University and a Master of Laws in Taxation from Georgetown University. A lawyer, certified public accountant and auditor, Councilmember Orange spent years working for local businesses and non-profits including the National Children's Center, Inc. He previously served two terms on the City Council representing Ward 5, focusing on development in underserved communities and education reform. Vincent and his wife, Gwendolyn, remain residents of Ward 5 and have three children, Vincent, Jr., Paul Wesley, and Jannie Elizabeth.
